		<description>This command you got from Alexander Wilde is actually incorrect. It modifies your plist file incorrectly and actually leaves you with invalid entries. Open the file in plist editor to see what I mean.

The correct command is
&lt;code&gt;sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_disabled_uams -array Cleartxt\ Passwrd MS2.0 2-Way\ Randnum\ exchange&lt;/code&gt;

No quotes and escaped spaces.

Same goes for the readd command, it should be like this without quotes:
&lt;code&gt;sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.AppleShareClient afp_disabled_uams -array-add DHCAST128&lt;/code&gt;</description>

		<description>This worked for me as well, but I still cannot select my Time Machine folder in Time Machine.. it doesn&#039;t show up when trying to set up time machine in Lion.  Are you able to back up with your original backup folder?</description>
